Advancing our Goals Through the Community Engagement Committee

Mar 16, 2026

A pivotal component of each Foundation event is made possible by the hard work and outreach of our Community Engagement Committee. Through Community Sponsorships for our Lunch & Learn series, POSH Pickleball, and Advancing Healthcare Symposium, the goal this year is to raise $100,000 in individual donations and sponsorships contributing towards programs that both educate attendees and highlight the healthcare excellence available at Adventist Health Glendale. Congratulations on already securing four sponsorships for the upcoming Lunch & Learns scheduled for this year!

Denise Anthony understands what a difference community networking and customer relationships can make. Through her successful career in commercial and residential real estate title and escrow, Denise knows customer service is a top priority. When her husband encountered health challenges, Denise learned first-hand how important it was to have access to excellent and innovative healthcare. As a former long-time board member with the Barlow Respiratory Hospital and active Rotary member, amongst other non-profit causes close to her heart, Denise recently joined the Adventist Health Glendale Community Engagement Committee at the encouragement of dedicated Foundation Board Member Pat Crouch. The two friends are a dynamic duo, both in their careers and in their community partnerships. Denise was so impressed by the tertiary-level care offered at Adventist Health Glendale after attending several Lunch & Learns and hearing keynote speaker Dr. William Li at the Fourth Annual Advancing Healthcare Symposium that she was inspired to give her own physician a copy of Dr. Li’s book. “Hearing about innovations directly from the physicians making an impact in our community is remarkable!” she says.

Learning about the potential impact of every gift, Denise and her husband felt compelled to make a generous IRA donation towards the Surgery Services Expansion project, which will expand our surgical capacity by adding four new operating rooms, a real-time pathology lab, and an enhanced post-anesthesia care unit (PACU). “If I can help build connections now that can last a lifetime and share about the medical excellence available right in our backyard, I know it will make a difference in supporting a vital resource for generations to come.” Denise says.

Our gratitude to the Anthonys for believing in the power of community and partnering with Adventist Health Glendale Foundation!
