A day of inspiration and education

What an inspiring afternoon for all who attended our Advancing Healthcare Symposium at The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens! Attendees learned about the latest innovations in structural heart procedures from the panel moderated by Andrew D. Jahn, president of the Adventist Health Southern California Network, and included Alice Issai, president of Adventist Health Glendale, and interventional cardiologists, Drs. Harry Balian, Amir Solhpour and Sarkis Kiramijyan. Breakout sessions followed with general surgeon Dr. Sam Carvajal, neurosurgeon Dr. Yaser Badr and breast surgeon Dr. Dennis Holmes. Dr. Dexter W. Shurney, president of the Blue Zones Well-Being Institute, presented ways to rethink healthy living with his keynote address. “Food as Medicine.”
