21 Straight “A’s” for Hospital Safety! 

We are thrilled to share Adventist Health Glendale has once again earned an “A” grade for Hospital Safety! This announcement marks our 21st consecutive “A,” an extraordinary achievement that only 41 other hospitals nationwide have accomplished and only six others in California.  

The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is the only hospital rating program focused solely on preventing medical errors and patient harm. The grading system is peer-reviewed, fully transparent and accessible to the public. Grades are updated biannually, in the spring and fall.  

An “A” grade not only validates a hospital’s commitment to excellence but also underscores its dedication to top-tier patient safety. Earning 21 consecutive “A’s” is a momentous accomplishment. It reflects the unwavering dedication of everyone who contributes to making our hospital a safe, caring and reliable destination for expert-level care.  

Of the 286 California hospitals evaluated during the Spring 2025 cycle, fewer than 45% received an “A” rating. Even more impressively, Adventist Health Glendale is the only hospital in our service area with an active “A” grade. The only other “A-rated” providers nearby are Keck USC and UCLA Ronald Reagan, and neither are close to matching our remarkable winning streak.
